No Surgery
Although Foot Mobilisation Therapy is a no-surgery treatment, working gently with your body’s natural restorative ability to improve your pain and repair the cause, there are a small number of instances where surgery is recommended.
Two of the most common conditions we recommend surgery for include:
- Morton's Neuroma This relates to where there is irritation to the nerve in the foot / or there is forefoot entrapment.
- Bunion This refers to where the joint in the big toe is enlarged.
In both instances, the source of the problem or worsening of the condition is caused by compensation due to the incorrect positioning or functioning of the bone.
To help restore the body’s natural process, our Corrective Care process at the Foot & Leg Centre decreases the amount of compensation in your body that is occurring. A proven non-surgical option, Corrective Care stimulates your body to rely upon its own repair systems. When this is the case, the need for surgery lessens.
In line with our natural philosophy at the Foot & Leg Centre, we want surgery to be a no-other option solution. In the cases where it is necessary, we refer clients tosurgeons.
