Development Environment

Zanity takes pride in its state-of-the-art development environment, which includes the latest software, technology and library knowledge base. Different hardware / operating platforms have different specifications and language bases, and such diversity can be a challenge in terms of web application development, but Zanity has the knowledge and the tools to develop programs for all the most popular hardware and their respective operating systems.

We operate several different development environments including:

PC Development Environment

PC Development Environment

The primary Windows development environment for creating applications is the Microsoft Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) under the .NET Framework, or natively under Win32. This and associated Windows IDE's such as Visual Basic support a wide range of programming languages (C/C++, VB.NET, C#, F#, CSS, XML, HTML, Python) and designer tools for building GUI applications.

Mac Development Environment

Mac Development Environment

Mac OS X has been Apple's operating system of choice for a decade, and Zanity have a specialist team of Mac OS X developers, able to utilise the features and performance provided by new OS versions ('Lion', 'Mountain Lion') with use of the development environment Xcode.

iPhone Application Environment

iPhone Application Environment

The release of the iOS Software Development Kit has allowed developers to create applications using the Xcode development environment, using Objective-C, C and C++. The iOS presents unique challenges and restrictions, though the SDK's range of powerful sets and the widespread popularity of the iPhone makes this one of the most opportunistic development environments to work with, and our experts ensure the highest functionality, usability, quality and aesthetic of all developed iOS applications, in 2D or 3D. You can be sure of seamless iOS integration and operation with advanced iPhone input interaction / input features.

Mobile Application Development Environment

Mobile Application Development Environment

Being the major competitor to the iPhone, applications for Android are developed with the Eclipse IDE under the Android Software Development Kit. Another up and coming competitor for mobile is Microsoft, with the development environment being the Windows Phone Software Development Kit (SDK), which is similar for development as the PC Microsoft Windows SDK.

Onsite Development Environment

Onsite Development Environment

Our developers use a range of onsite development environments that combine desktop performance, OS-compatible software development tools and hardware emulation for powerful and efficient application development. The major IDE's are Xcode and the Windows Software Development Kit, which are used to develop desktop and mobile applications. The Android application SDK is open for development on the latest operating systems, including Linux distributions, Windows 7/8 and Mac OS X.

The majority of Software Development Kits (SDK 's) support previous operating system versions, which makes it possible for clients to target applications for older technology. The range of applicable development environments employed at Zanity means that almost every client need and requirement can be met, even if they are particular.

We work with all clients to ensure that requirements are understood perfectly; ensuring what is expected of us and clearing up any misunderstandings on the client's behalf is the key for successful application development projects.
